What is called bullying these days has been around forever. It was establishing pecking order or ranking. We were always told to avoid a bully, and when it got too much, stand up to them. I was disabled, had physical scars and smart-magnets for hate.
I haven’t had the chance to say thank you to someone that really has changed my life. Thank you for always being there and not judging me. I’m glad that even though I never thought I could trust you; I have found you are the only one I can.
I want to thank the two children at Saranac Elementary who turned another child in for bullying my son by taking his sticky notes and then pushing him while on the bus. Your parents should be proud.
The Mooers and Chazy EMT and State Police officers who showed up to my accident on Nov. 23, performed their duties above and beyond and should be recognized for their outstanding performance. I should have died but an angel was there with me that night.
Why must hard-working, lousy paid taxpaying citizens continue to endure the miserable roads South Catherine and South Peru streets? Many villages, towns repave heavily used roads every eight years, it’s built into their budgets.
I would like to give a big thank you to the person who left the license-plate number of the car who hit my Dodge Nitro in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The man was found and issued a ticket for hit and run. Your kindness is appreciated.
I understand teachers and administrators are under fire but enough is enough with the push on homework. I think it is appropriate to assign some for review and to keep the knowledge fresh, but when a child is in fifth grade they should spend an entire evening at the table.
To the individuals who left their half-empty coffee cups, used napkins and plates with partially eaten wraps and sandwiches all over the table, please be courteous next time and pick up your mess. The garbage can was only a few feet away.
