Legislators to discuss roadrepair, pipeline
MALONE — Franklin County’s decision whether to borrow money to fund road repairs and the natural-gas pipeline will be discussed again Thursday when legislators meet.
The Finance Committee meets at 9 a.m. with County Treasurer Bryon Varin and County Manager Thomas Leitz to decide if it will borrow about $4 million to repair Brainardsville Road and pay Enbridge-St. Lawrence Gas or find the money elsewhere in the existing budget.
At 9:30 a.m., the full legislature will discuss changes to its purchasing policy and at 10 a.m. hold a work session. The call to order is set for 11:30 a.m.
All meetings are held in the fourth-floor legislative chambers in the County Courthouse and open to the public.
Report on City School District budget scheduled
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School Board will meet Thursday at the Duken Building.
At 7:30 p.m., the board will receive a report on the 2013-14 budget.

Lake Placid School Board slatedto meet tonight
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Central School Board meeting that was canceled Tuesday due to the storm will be held at 6:30 tonight instead.
A motion to go into executive session is anticipated, with the regular board meeting beginning at 7 p.m.
The meeting is open to all.
ELCS to talk budget at Wednesday March 27 meeting
ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Board will hold a public forum on school-budget development and a budget meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the conference room.
The board will receive a preliminary draft budget plan at the session.
The public may attend.
