---- — Backs rail trail
TO THE EDITOR: In September, my husband and I had the opportunity to ride our bikes on the Cape Cod Rail Trail in Massachusetts. What a wonderful experience and friendly atmosphere being enjoyed by many people.
We were able to get on the trail a short distance from our motel and stop at different places of interest along the way. So convenient and enjoyable.
We love the Adirondack Park and all it has to offer. Having an Adirondack Rail Trail would allow us to see the area from a whole different perspective.
We wholeheartedly support this project because of the many people who would enjoy it and the communities it would positively affect. A win-win situation.

Grateful for support
TO THE EDITOR: Thank you to all the nurses, doctors, relatives, friends, neighbors and everyone who stood by our family during a most difficult tragic time following the loss of our beloved mother, aunt, sister and friend Linda LaCount.
We would like to take this time to express our sincerest appreciation and gratitude to those who in some way helped, whether it be your physical presence, a phone call, letters, cards, donations or prayer.
Thank you for your sincerity, empathy, compassion and, most importantly, thank you for being you.
Special thanks to those who gave their own time to help set up and prepare for the gathering after the services at
the VFW in Champlain.

Eviction wrong
TO THE EDITOR: I looked up Robert Duell’s telephone number and talked to Mrs. Duel about them being evicted because of their dog.
She cried and really can’t understand, at their age, what else could go wrong.
This is not a public school with a bullying problem; this is a mobile-home park with a bullying problem.
Let’s face it, what’s wrong with society is the bullying against the elderly. A word to the wise: Don’t get old.
Who’s bullying your parents?
