Police Log: Feb. 2, 2012 — Felony arrest

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man faces a grand larceny charge.

According to Plattsburgh City Court records, at 2:54 a.m. Tuesday on Peru Street, Osbourne A. Smith, 32, allegedly stole a Chase/Debit Visa Unemployment Card from the wallet of Trisha M. Angus.

Smith also allegedly entered the home of Tenaya M. Dapo without permission and threw a metal frying pan at Angus from across the room, then punched her in the back of the head three times.

Smith was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony; second-degree criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor; and third-degree attempted assault, a misdemeanor.

Smith was in Plattsburgh City Court later that day and will reappear there on Feb. 6.
