Headlights

The North Country has tragically lost too many young people in the past few years with more lost this month. Please join me in driving with your headlights on as a simple sign to their families that we remember their loved one this holiday season.

Lights

I want to take a few minutes to thank everyone with lights decorating their homes. From the simple to the elaborate, you bring me much joy. I’m sure others enjoy them, too.

Line

I would like to thank the woman in Wal-Mart who saw me in line waiting patiently and asked me to go ahead of her in another line. That goes to show you there are some nice people still out there.

Mics

I was more than disappointed with the drama club show. The kids could not be heard. Did the director not think to mike them?

Roundabout

The traffic circle is just a nuisance, and they should remove it. The circle was only made with hopes the airport would have high traffic. I’ve been in traffic circles, and that is no traffic circle.

God

Amazing how people trust in drugs, Buddah, music, celebrities, dishonest politicians and phony 2012 Mayan predictions yet they won’t believe in the God that gave them life.

Party

The Ellenburg Center Fire Department and Auxiliary held a children’s Christmas party with Santa arriving by fire truck. Thank you for all you give to our community. This day will live on in the hearts of children forever.

Cellphone

To the lady driving the van on Cumberland Head Road one Wednesday morning, please don’t talk on your cellphone while driving. Are you aware that you were in my lane and almost him my wife and me head on?

Hunters

Coy-dog hunters do not respect property owners or the law. The shooting across public roads, snowmobile trails and next to houses. Their dogs are running all over property, and owners are scared to confront them. This is unsafe.
