Peggy C. Fredette

MOOERS FORKS — Peggy C. Fredette, 73, of White Road, Mooers Forks, longtime resident of Champlain and Rouses Point, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Champlain, N.Y., March 5, 1939, daughter of the late Homer J. and Alice M. (Burnham) Pelkey.

Peggy attended Champlain Elementary and High School. Her greatest love and pastime was caring for and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid NASCAR fan and had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed long car rides, fishing, puzzle books, playing BINGO and tending to her house plants and flowers.

Her loving family includes two sons and a daughter, Joel M. Fredette and wife Vonda of Gainesville, Va., Christopher W. Owens of Mound City, Mo., and Tina M. Fredette of Champlain; her grandchildren, Christopher Fredette and wife Marie of Colonie, Angelique Sample and husband Jason of Mooers Forks, Jason Fredette and wife Tammy of Baltimore, Md., Hayley Turner and companion Brad Lashway of Ellenburg, Brittany Janney and husband Christopher of Rockville, Md., Anastassea Owens of Newport News, Va., Sgt. Christopher Owens, ANG, of Mound City, Md., Jonathan Owens of Mound City and PVT 1st Class Joshua Owens, USMC, of 29 Palms in Calif.; and her sisters, Gloria Dubuque and husband Howard of Trenton, N.J., Bernadette Glick of Linthicum Heights, Md., and Nancy Mesec and husband Darrel of Champlain. 12 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews, also survive.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by a brother, Arnold Pelkey; three sisters, Virginia True, Gladys Paulsen and Eleanor Pelkey; and daughter, Deborah Turner.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain, NY. Prayer services will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
