FELONY ARRESTS

BOMBAY — A Malone man was arrested on felony criminal mischief charges Saturday.

Jamie L. Dustin, 33, allegedly caused $5,663.53 in damage to the vehicle of a friend of his ex-girlfriend, according to Malone-based State Police.

The crime was reported by Dustin’s ex-girlfriend at 9 p.m. Nov. 12.

Dustin was arrested at 10:16 a.m. at the Malone State Police barracks and charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Moira Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.

Dustin was due to reappear in the Town of Bombay Court Tuesday.

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was arrested on felony fraud charges.

On Nov. 23, Alysha M. Blow-Dasilva, 23, allegedly knowingly sold alcohol to underage customers at Buck’s Discount Center in Plattsburgh where she worked.

Blow-Dasilva was arrested at 1:32 p.m. Monday at 9 Dunning Road in the Town of Plattsburgh. She was charged with first-degree falsification of business records.

Blow-Dasilva was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Plattsburgh Court Dec. 13.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

SARANAC LAKE — A Saranac Lake woman was injured in a car accident Nov. 25.

Kathleen Bailey’s 1993 Oldsmobile sedan stalled when she was driving on Prospect Avenue in Saranac Lake at about 4:20 p.m., according to a Saranac Lake Police press release.

Bailey, 43, of Saranac Lake could not control her vehicle and struck a 2012 Chevy sedan driven by Alice Hart, who was traveling on Broadway Avenue at the time. Hart complained of pain in her left arm. Emergency responders evaluated Hart, 50, shortly after the accident and she declined transport to the hospital.

ALTONA — A Morrisonville man was injured in an accident Tuesday.

Larry J. Rock, 67, was driving south on State Route 190 near the intersection with Blue Chip Way at shortly before 7:23 p.m. when a deer ran into the roadway from the north shoulder, according to Chazy-based State Police. Rock was unable to avoid the animal and struck it. The deer fled, according to police.

Rock was transported CVPH Medical Center where he was treated and released. No tickets were issued.

NORTH ELBA — A Saranac Lake man was injured in an accident Monday.

Shortly before 12:11 p.m., Anastasia Dierna, 45, of Bloomingdale was driving on County Route 86 when she stopped to make a left turn onto County Route 33, according to Ray Brook-based State Police.

Dierna’s turn signal light was on, police said.

A vehicle driven by Matt Scollin, 27, struck Dierna’s vehicle on the rear driver’s side, spinning Dierna’s vehicle 180 degrees to face west, police said. Both vehicles were severely damaged, police said.

Scollin was transported to Adirondack Medical Center Lake Placid where he was treated and released.
