Rod & gun club indoor range open today

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Rod & Gun Club will be open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today for indoor rifle shooting.

Equipment is available to borrow for the day. The cost is $7 for members and $10 for non-members. For more information, contact Norbert Yakey, at 298-5161.

Chazy Youth Hockey to hold skills clinic

CHAZY — Chazy Youth Hockey will be conducting a skills clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 19 and 20 at Scotts Rink. The clinic will focus on power skating and stick handling. Technique and form will be emphasized.

The morning session will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided. The cost will be $10 per day for Chazy Youth Hockey members and $15 per day for non-members. Learn-to-skate players are discouraged from attending.

Collins, Peryea roll 300 games atNorth Bowl

PLATTSBURGH — James Collins, bowling for Team Collins Family on February 10 at North Bowl Lanes, rolled a 300 game and finished the evening with a 267-236-300-803 series in the City Mixed League. It was the first-career 300 for Collins, who carries a 204 average.

Meanwhile, James Peryea, bowling for Team #3 in the Pepsi Classic at North Bowl lanes on February 11, tossed his first-ever 300 game. Peryea, who averages 226, rolled a 300-222-204-726 triple.

PHS Winter Awards Night March 18

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh High School Winter Awards Night will be held at 7 p.m. on March 18 in the PHS Auditorium.

PYH U16 girls’ hockey teamwins tourney

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Youth Hockey/North Country Wild U16 girls’ team won the Adirondack Northstars Girls’ Winter Classic Hockey Tournament held in Glens Falls the weekend of January 18-21.

The Wild compiled a 5-0 record in the 3-day event, beating teams from Binghamton, Monroe Country, Ct., Buffalo, Troy and Albany, 4-0, in the finals.

The Wild are comprised of players from Plattsburgh, Lake Placid/Saranac Lake, Rouses Point and Chazy, and includes players Kara Barber, Liz Bimonte, Olivia Blais, Brielle Carnright, Carlee Casey, Kiana Fell, Carissa Kennedy, Mia Kennedy, Kinnan Latremore, Katie Matott, Brittany Miner, Briana Savage, Katie Snyder, Kennedy Snyder, Bridgit Sullivan, Kayleigh Bell and Maddie Tucker, along with coaches Steve Fell, Mark Blais, Kara Buehler and Curtis Latremore.

Siberian Rod & Gun Club to hold registration

DANNEMORA — The Siberian Rod & Gun Club will be holding its Camp Colby Summer Camp registration for ages 12 to 14. Members can register for the camp by calling Skip Maggy, at 492-7130 or 492-7178.
