TICONDEROGA — Roderick M. Moore, 81, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the C.V.P.H. Medical Center of Plattsburgh. Born in Ticonderoga, Jan. 24, 1932, he was the son of the late George M. and Marjorie (Petty) Moore.
Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a lifelong Ticonderoga resident and a graduate of Ticonderoga High School. He was employed by the International Paper Company of Ticonderoga for many years and was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Helena Ann Moore on April 7, 2012.
Survivors include three sons, Travis Moore of Ticonderoga, Gary Moore of Corinth, and Craig Moore of Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Deborah Diskin of Ticonderoga; one brother, Edgar T. Moore of Ticonderoga; and one sister, Cheryl A. O'Connor of Ticonderoga. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Tyler, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate.
Burial will take place in the Spring at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
