Aimee Lee Poirier-Curry

WEST CHAZY — Aimee Lee Poirier-Curry, 35, passed away unexpectedly at her home, in West Chazy, N.Y., on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. She was born on August 27, 1977 at Griffiss AFB in Rome, N.Y. On May 9, 2008 Aimee married Harry Curry in Tupper Lake, N.Y.

Aimee graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1995. She continued her education and received her LPN along with her mother from North Country Community College.

After receiving her degree, she worked at Adirondack Mercy Health Care Center and Sunmount DDSO.

Aimee loved the outdoors, fishing the many lakes in the North Country, frozen or not and skiing at Big Tupper. She loved cooking, family cookouts and spending time with her children and family. Aimee was a big supporter of Locks of Love, donating several times with several feet of hair over the years.

Aimee is survived by her loving husband Harry and their four children, Ashlyn, Levi, Aleah, Ethan; her father and stepmother, Daniel and Patti Poirier; stepfather ,Jon Yaworski; two sisters, Theresa and Christopher Mitchell and Mary Yaworski; four brothers David LaPlante and his companion Matt Blow, Joshua and Allison Poirier, John Yaworski, and Joe Yaworski; her grandmothers, Kay Poirier, Marie Mayotte and Theresa Yaworski. She is also survived by one nephew, Cody LaPierre, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her mother Clara (Jessie) Yaworski, Paternal Grandfather Danroy Poirier, Step grandfather Arthur Mayotte, maternal Grandparents Joseph and Eva (PeeWee) Jessie, Step grandfather John Yaworski.

Calling hours for Aimee were held on Thursday Dec. 20. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday Dec. 21. Burial followed at Holy Name Cemetery.
