MOOERS FORKS — David D. Walker, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 16, 1960, the son of Willard Robert and Doris E. (Jubert) Walker.
David was a graduate of Northeastern Clinton Central School, Class of 1980. He was employed at Powertex Corp. in Rouses Point for the past 24 years in the shipping and receiving department of the warehouse, where his co-workers were his extended family.
David enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, playing cards and spending time at the ''Walker Old Mill'' camp.
Survivors include his mother, Doris E. Walker; six sisters, Carol and Gary Cardin of Mooers Forks, Donna and James Rabideau Sr. of Mooers Forks, Dolores and Steven Kopp of Las Vegas, Nev., Joan Walker and Robert LePage of Mooers, Eileen Walker Rabideau and companion, James Marbut of Mooers Forks, and Phyllis and John Coryea of Rouses Point; one brother, Brian and Alice Walker of Clarksville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; his Powertex family; and ''Ginger'', his canine companion.
He is predeceased by his father, Willard Bob Walker who passed away on May 14, 2012.
Calling hours at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh will be at 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Champlain EMS. The R. W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
