CHAMPLAIN — Joseph L. Deso, 86, of State Route 9B, Champlain, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.
He was born in Champlain, Dec. 12, 1925, the son of Herbert and Josephine (Murray) Deso. He grew up in Champlain and made his living as a long distance truck driver.
Joseph was the "best dad ever". He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren deeply. He enjoyed gardening, canning tomatoes, and making chilly sauce.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Doris (Dominy) Deso; children, Donald Deso of Champlain, Ronald Deso and his wife Diane of Champlain, Connie LaValley and her husband Orville of Ellenburg Depot, Carol Dagley and her husband Alonzo of Plattsburgh, Beverly Bute and her husband Dave of Phoenix, Ariz., Karen Bower of Rouses Point, and Mark Deso of Champlain; one sister, Beatrice Castine of Champlain; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At Joseph's request there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be in Champlain.
