Harold A. (Ted) Barnett Jr.

SCOTIA, NY, — Harold A. (Ted) Barnett Jr., 75, died peacefully at his residence on March 17, 2013 with his beloved dog Mazie at his side.

Born in Crown Point he had lived in Scotia for many years and was son of the late Harold and Maude Putnam Barnett. He had served his country in the U.S. Army Security Agency from 1955- 1959. He had been employed at the Watervliet Arsenal as a product control manager retiring after 25 years of service. He belonged to the Civil Air Patrol flying missions with the DEA. He also was an amature radio and computer enthusiast. Ted was extremely patriotic and his life was all about the red, white and blue. At his home every day was the 4th of July.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline Sullivan Barnett; his children, William C. Barnett, Carrie A. (Glen) Peek, Ted A. Barnett and Camie V. ( Kelly) Barnett. He was grandfather of Maria Mckenna, Mark Mckenna Jr., Ted Barnett Jr., Elysia Barnett, Travis Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Dana Barnett, Kevin Fitzpatrick and Michael Fitzpatrick. He was brother of Jean (Jack) Harrington, Diana Kahler and the late Joyce Bain. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday from the Marra Funeral Home Cohoes. Spring interment will be in Forrest Dale Cemetery Crown Point N.Y. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdsay prior to services.

In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations in Mr. Barnetts memory to the American Heart Association PO Box 417005. Boston, MA, 02241-7005.
