Shirley graduated from Rosemount High School in Montreal. She was an avid sports enthusiast all through high school. She married Harold T. Curley LaBombard and relocated to Rouses Point, N.Y., where the couple has lived for the last 60 years.

Her loving family includes her husband, Harold of Rouses Point; her four children, Darlene and Richard Strack of Morrisonville, Jeffery LaBombard and girlfriend Claude Seguin of Chazy, Heather and Gary Morrison of Champlain and Shawn Curly and Marcy LaBombard of Rouses Point; her six grandchildren, Aubrey Rougier, Whitney Lawrence, Steven Strack, Dakota Morrison, Bailey LaBombard and James LaBombard; her four great-grandchildren, Shane and Azlynn Frederick, and Jayden and Davian Lawrence; and her sister, Dorothy Grimes of Montreal, Quebec. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her infant son, Galen Virgil LaBombard and two brothers, Vernon and John.

Shirley, affectionately known as Ma, was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose family meant everything to her. She was an avid sports fan with a real soft spot for the New York Giants. Shirley loved feeding the birds and always had a special place in her heart for any stray animal that showed up at her doorstep. Ma will always be loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family.

At Shirley's request, there will be no public calling hours. Private services were held on Friday, Feb. 15, at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 148 Lake St., Rouses Point, N.Y.

Interment with Graveside Services will take place at a later date in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Rouses Point.

Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA or the Adirondack Humane Society.
