PLATTSBURGH — Janet W. Stevens, 90, of Plattsburgh, died peacefully Sat urday, Feb. 9, 2013, with her family by her side.
Born Oct. 21, 1922, to James and Janet Nicol, she was a brilliant CPA and Notary Public in California. Janet traveled the country and earned Wom an of the Year in the American Busi ness Women's Association. She had a kind and welcoming heart, an incredible sense of humor, and a positive attitude in all situations.
Her loving family includes her daughter, Janet-Lea of Plattsburgh; her granddaughter, Amber Doryland of Platts burgh; her sister, Margaret Potter of Brooklin, ON; and sever al nieces and nephews.
Janet was predeceased by her husband, William Stevens; her sister, Isabel Harper; and two daughters, Mary and Debo rah Ann Stevens.
A calling hour will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St. Plattsburgh. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at her granddaughter's residence following the calling hour.
