LADY LAKEL, FL — Joyce H. Nephew, formerly of Plattsburgh, NY, died Feb. 9, 2013 following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Edward Nephew.
She was born and educated in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the daughter of the late Pearl and Benjamin Cramer. Mrs. Nephew worked for many years for AT&T Company in New Haven, Conn.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia M. LaPoint of Palm Bay, Fla., Kathleen A. Filion Goddard of Tulsa, Okla., and Susan P. Filion; one son, Daniel B. Filion, of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Shirley A. Cramer, of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; 7 step-children; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, June Cramer Matott and Betty Cramer Gerlach. She was also preceded in death by one son, Michael S. Filion of Tulsa Okla.
A funeral mass and burial will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, West Chazy, N.Y., in the spring.
