PERU — Sue Ellen Bousquet-Guay, 49, of Peru, N.Y. passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Fletcher Allen Health Care after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.
Sue Ellen was born on Nov. 23, 1963 in Plattsburgh, N.Y. to Robert L. Bousquet and Frances Eleanor (Laundry) Bousquet. She was married to Russell Edgar Guay on June 16, 1984 in Peru, N.Y.
She is survived by her loving husband, Russell; two daughters, Mallory Guay and Raegen Guay-Sears; and one son-in- law, Dustin Sears. Also two brothers, Robert L. Bousquet II of Peru, N.Y. and Rick L. Bousquet of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Lorri A. Dyson of Hawaii; and her mother, Frances of Peru; along with many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert L. Bousquet.
Sue Ellen graduated from Peru Central School in 1981 and received a degree in nursing from Clinton Community College. She worked as a registered nurse at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
Sue Ellen had an amazing personality and love for life. She will be remembered most by her great sense of humor and ability to light up any room she walked into. Sue was a long time Rolling Stones fan. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with her family.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9th at St. Augustine's Church in Peru, N.Y.
