Kenneth W. "Pa" Cahoon

CHAZY — Kenneth W. "Pa" Cahoon, 70, of Ratta Road, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Ken lived in Hope Valley, R.I. for many years. He worked for the Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company in Groton, Conn., as a chemical operator and rigger and also worked for H.C. Woodmansee Oil and Gingers Oil Company in R.I. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Chazy, N.Y., where they resided for the past 12 years.

Ken enjoyed woodworking, draft horse pulling, stock car racing, cooking shows and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Most of all, Ken had a great love for spending time with his family. His world revolved around his four grandchildren, to whom he was known as "Pa", and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Survivors include his wife of 48 yrs., Barbara (Cost) of Chazy; son, Mike Cahoon and his wife Wendy of Chazy; daughter, Debbie Harrison and her husband Peter of Hope Valley, R.I.; grandchildren, Nick Harrison, Shawn Harrison and his fianc^e Allie Oddo, Michaela Cahoon and Kyle Cahoon; and brother, Gerald Cahoon and his wife Brenda of Hope Valley, R.I.

There will be no public calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Wood River Baptist Church, Route 138 in Richmond, R.I. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Chazy Fire Department, where his son, Mike is Chief of the Department.
