Christopher H. Rougeau

PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Christopher H. Rougeau, 47, of Hartwell Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at his home with his family by his side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 12, 1965, the son of the late Robert and Mayfred (Hale) Rougeau.

Christopher was employed at Bombardier in Plattsburgh for over 12 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees Fan. He also enjoyed ice fishing and spending time in his yard by his in ground pool.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Johnson) Rougeau; a stepson, Jayme Rushford of Plattsburgh; a grandson, Jayden Rushford of Plattsburgh; his siblings, Robert Rougeau of Lewes, De., Jill Mercer of Schenectady, Bonnie and Bernard Gonyo of Plattsburgh, Barry Rougeau of Saranac; two brothers-in-law; Steven and Cindy Bates of Morrisonville, Dale Johnson and his companion Sandy Allen of Moriah Center; his best friend, Erick Stevenson of San Jose, Calif.; and several nieces , nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

Calling hours will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
