PLATTSBURGH / PORT ORANGE, FL. — John A. (Jack) Kline, formally of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away on Jan. 14, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, FL. He was born Jan. 31, 1930 in Long Island, N.Y.
After attending Champlain College in Plattsburgh N.Y., he continued to reside there. He worked for Clinton County as a Civil Service clerk for 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, despite his spinal handicap and was a long time member of Bluff Point Golf Club in Plattsburgh. After retirement he moved to Daytona Beach, Fla., where he continued playing golf as a member of the Daytona Beach Golf Club. He was a third degree life member of the Plattsburgh Knights of Columbus Council #255. He will be missed by his many friends in Plattsburgh and Daytona Beach.
A funeral Mass will be held at 8:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, on Wednesday Jan. 23, which is located at 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, Fla., 32129. His burial will follow at Shady Rest cemetery in Holly Hill, Fl. Shannon Maloney Funeral Home is in charge.
