KEESEVILLE — Michelle Marie Murcray, 50, formerly of Keeseville and most recently of Norfolk, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Va., as a result of complications from a longtime heart condition.
She was born in Plattsburgh, July 26, 1962, the daughter of Shirley M. (Blaise) Murcray and the late Leo R. Murcray. Michelle attended AuSable Valley Central School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. She was later employed by Exxon Mobil. Michelle loved animals, especially her dogs. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley Murcray of Keeseville; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Lora Murcray; and three nieces and two nephews, all of Charlottesville, Va.; long time friend, Joni Kerr of Norfolk, Va.; one aunt, Veronica LaDieu; one uncle, Robert Blaise; many cousins; and family friend, John D. Lucero Jr.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton St., Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, parish Pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Friday, April 26, following a 9 a.m. Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church.
