ALBANY — Eileen R. Walker of Albany, died Dec. 31, 2012, surrounded by her family, her true love and her friends. She waited until this group of loving souls opened a bottle of champagne and toasted her. In the midst of the celebration she chose to simply stop breathing and peacefully slipped away.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Roger Bartlett of Albany, N.Y.; sisters, Barbara Mulligan (Kevin) of Chazy, N.Y., and Nicole Pierce of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and brothers, Thomas Rice of Clifton Park, N.Y., James Rice (Penny) of North Augusta, S.C., and John Rice of Plattsburgh, N.Y. She is also survived by many loving and adoring nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Samuel W. Rice III and Jeannine Rice and her brother, Samuel Rice.
A memorial service will be held in late Jan. of 2013. Donations to the American Brain Tumor Association (http://www.abta.org) in memory of Eileen are being accepted in lieu of flowers or gifts.
