TICONDEROGA — Geraldine C. Davis, 92, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Heritage Commons Residential Health Care of Ticonderoga. Born in Ticonderoga, June 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Blanche (Rafferty) Thompson.
Mrs. Davis was a lifelong resident of Ticonderoga and a 1937 graduate of Ticonderoga High School. She married Augustus (Gus) Davis in January of 1951. She and her husband owned and operated the Trout Brook Garage of Ticonderoga, where she was the bookkeeper from 1953 until 1994. In her earlier years, she was employed by International Paper Company, the Pad Factory and the A & P, all of Ticonderoga. Mrs. Davis was an avid bowler and golfer.
She was predeceased by her husband, Augustus U. Davis on August 13, 1992.
Survivors include her two children, Gary A. Davis and Gail L. Fregon, both of Ticonderoga; and five siblings, Steve Thompson of Ticonderoga, John Thompson of Canton, Albert Thompson of Ticonderoga, Patricia Nadeau of Ticonderoga, and Nancy Carr of Moriah. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
A Funeral Service will follow on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Tyler, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Spring at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
