GARDENA, CALIF. — George "Bib" Le Blanc, 74, passed away June 21, 2012, in Gardena, Calif., after a short illness. Bib was born August 5, 1938, in Montreal, QC., the son of Lucien and Marie Rose (Belanger) Le Blanc.
Bib's father worked for the Canadian National railroad and the family moved to Rouses Point, N.Y., in 1940. Bib attended St. Patrick's School until the family moved to South Paris, Me., in 1948. Bib graduated from high school in South Paris, and shortly thereafter moved to Hawthorne, Calif., with his brother and sister.
Bib kept in touch with his entire family with frequent phone calls to everyone and loved to talk about everything.
Bib worked for many years a computer systems engineer for several companies, and loved to talk about his work using Digital Equipment computers.
Bib was an avid horseshoe player. He participated in weekly horseshoe tournaments with his brother, Paul. His love of old cars led him to restore a 1960's Ford Thunderbird.
Bib was predeceased by his first wife, Susan, and is survived by his current wife, Sue; his brothers, Roland of Rouses Point, N.Y., Francis Pete (Terry) of Rouses Point, N.Y., Robert (Josette) of Rouses Point, N.Y., Paul (Joyce) of Yuma, Ariz., and Rudy (Lena) of Portland, Me.; and his sister Marcelle (Erwin) Johnson of Prescott, Ariz.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Roger (Gemma) of Longueil, PQ, and Jean (Florence) of Berlin, N.H., and sisters, Rejane Traynor of Las Vegas, Nev., and Margaret Scaringe of Albany, N.Y.
Services were held Wednesday, June 27, at the McCormick Mortuary in Inglewood, Calif.
