DANNEMORA — Dorothea Elizabeth Woodard of Dannemora, formerly of Sennett, N.Y. died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at the home of her daughter under care of Hospice of the North Country.
She was born to Aaron and Viletta (Ward) Pickett on May 11, 1922 in Fair Haven, N.Y.
She graduated from Fair Haven School in 1939. She married Charles R. Woodard on March 29, 1941. She was employed by Welch-Allyn, Skaneateles, N.Y. for many years, retiring in 1989.
She attended the Third Age Day Care, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
She is survived by her son, Charles Jay Woodard (Debbie); her daughter, Judith M. Lucas and fiance` Michael Torres; granddaughters, Patricia (Woodard) Ryan and Christine (Woodard) Gonsalves; and great-grandchildren, Justin Ryan and Cody Ryan.
She was predeceased by her husband and her parents.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with services immediately following at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at the Langham Funeral Home, 75 East Genesee Street, Auburn, N.Y. 13021. Local aftercare was provided by R.W. Walker Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
