Louann E. (Dumar) Nolan

PLATTSBURGH — Louann E. (Dumar) Nolan, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 surrounded by family and loved ones, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born April 25, 1955 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of William J. and Jaqueline (LaBombard) Dumar.

Louann graduated from Anne Arundel High School in Maryland in 1973, she moved to Plattsburgh with her family and attended Clinton Community College and Plattsburgh State, graduating with a BS in Sociology. Louann then moved to Syracuse where she met and married Donald Nolan, who was her companion and caregiver as well as her rock throughout her illness.

Louann loved her family, her cats and life itself. She was a wonderful, caring person who was always there for anyone who needed her. Everyone that knew her knew her beautiful smile.

Before her illness, Louann worked at Mold-Rite and would talk of her wonderful friends and co-workers there.

Her family and friends will miss her greatly. The world has lost a beautiful person. Until we meet again, you will be always in our hearts. Louann, we love you more than we can say. Rest in Peace and God bless you for gracing us with your Love, Laughter and Smile.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer (Nolan) Dennett and companion PJ LaBarge; her grandson, Daryl Dennett, who she adored; her companion Donald Nolan, all of Plattsburgh; her mother, Jaqueline (LaBombard) Dumar of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Alen Dumar and his wife Gina, Chris Dumar, both of Morrisonville; twin sisters, Rose Dumar Foster and her husband Mark of Manassas, Va., Rosalie Leveille and her husband Raoul of Montreal, PQ; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, William J. Dumar Jr.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or FitzPatrick Cancer Center

Arrangements are being handled by the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
