ROUSES POINT — Marjorie Mae Castine, 76 of Lake Street in Rouses Point passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Mooers, the daughter of Oswald and Gladys (McNight) Gibson. She graduated in 1953, from Ellenburg Central School. She was married to Richard Castine Sr., who preceded her in death. She raised a family and worked alongside them on the family farm. She worked for many years at Northeastern Clinton Central School as a custodial worker. Upon retirement, she returned to NCCS to work in the cafeteria. She loved bluegrass music. She also loved going out to eat at restaurants. She also looked forward to the 4th of July when her entire family would gather at her home. Marjorie also enjoyed going to auctions.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Herman.
Survivors include, one son, Richard Castine and his wife Holly of West Chazy; one daughter, Janice Castine of Champlain; four grandchildren, Peter Castine, Brooke Castine, Michael Castine and Renee Castine; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Cali and Addison Castine; one sister, Verna Brothers and her husband George; a niece, Roxanne Barnes and her husband John; a nephew Lorne Brothers and his wife Lisa; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Trombly and her husband Ronald and two nephews, Ronald Trombley and his wife, Carol and Danny Trombley and his wife, Cheryl. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Delores.
A private memorial service will be celebrated at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers at the convenience of the family.
