PLATTSBURGH — Mrs. Kathleen A. (Danko) Rakowski, 46, of Macey Lane in Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side.
She was born in Meriden, Conn., on Oct. 26, 1966, the daughter of Dorothy Urban Danko and the late John Danko. She was a 1984 graduate of Orville H. Platt High School. She was employed for several years at Hunter's Ambulance until moving to Plattsburgh, N.Y. where she was employed for over fifteen years at Lake Champlain OB-GYN. She enjoyed creating crafts with her children, was an avid pet lover and enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her
children's extra curricular activities.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Rakowski; her children, Benjamin, Bradley and Kaleigh, all of Plattsburgh; her mother, Dorothy M. Danko of Meriden, Conn.; her mother-in-law, Geraldine Rowland and her husband James of Bradenton, Fla.; her step mother-in-law, Judith Rakowski of Wallingford, Conn.; her siblings and their spouses, Thomas and Tracy Danko of Wallingford, Conn., Jacqueline and John Haynes of Meriden, Conn., Christine and William Barker of
Meriden, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Stacey M. Hathaway and her husband Howard of Killingworth, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Robert Rakowski Sr.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, Conn. 06450.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at St. Joseph Church on the corner of West Main Street and Lewis Avenue. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered for a trust that will be established for her children.
