PLATTSBURGH — William J. Baker, 52, of Miller Street in Plattsburgh, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 9, 1960, the son of Arthur and Jean (Bull) Baker.
William enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, his dogs "Jessie" and "Sassy", his bird "Tony", and all wild animals.
He is survived by his parents of Plattsburgh; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur G. and Gina Baker of Plattsburgh, David A. and Jennifer Baker of San Antonio, Texas, Steven J. Baker of Plattsburgh, James E. and Adhara Baker of Plattsburgh; three sisters, Mary J. Maier of Salt Lake City, Utah, Nancy Hamilton of Reno, Nev., Diane Baker of Dayton, Ohio; his cousins, Jeremy, Joshua, Sara, Damien, Austin, Camie, Devin and Rebecca; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
