CHAZY — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Dean Wilson, 26, of Chazy, on June 20, 2012, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
He was born on February 12, 1986, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the son of Dean and Beth (Smith) Wilson.
In June 2005, James graduated from Chazy Central Rural School, and from the CV-TEC Architectural Drafting program, where he excelled. He continued his education and graduated with an Industrial Technology degree in 2007 from Clinton Community College. He was employed at Jefford's Steel, where he worked as a Draftsman.
James was a loving son, brother and uncle who was very close to his family. He enjoyed life, family members and friends. He was always there to brighten the lives of others with his infectious smile. In his free time, James enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, down-hill skiing, snowmobiling and was an avid runner. He took pride in his annual Christmas light display, utilizing his drafting skills to plan the impressive scene.
Our family takes comfort in knowing that James will be greeted in Heaven by his grandparents, Alson Smith of Chazy, and Harrison and Dorothy Wilson of Chazy.
James is survived by his parents, Dean and Beth of Chazy; a sister; Jamie and her husband Merritt Billiter of Mooers; a sister, Jennie and her husband Chris Cody of Rochester; a brother, Joel of Chazy; his grandmother, June Smith of Chazy; a nephew, Gradie Billiter; a niece, Alice Billiter; and he was anxiously awaiting the birth of a new nephew, Jackson Cody. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
