PLATTSBURGH - Mildred LaMare Dandrow, 90, of Marcy Lane, died Sunday July 29, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Lyon Mountain on August 20, 1921, the daughter of William M. and Stella C. (Hart) LaMare. She married Sherwood O. Dandrow at St. Peters Church in April 19, 1952. Mr. Dandrow died in 1983.
Mrs. Dandow was a communicant of St. Peters Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She worked at Champlain Valley Savings & Loan on Margaret St. for 21 years before retiring as Personnel Manager in 1981.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Norman LaMare, Leonard LaMare, Harold "Happy" LaMare, William F. LaMare; and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Fitzgerald and Mrs. Violet Hosmer.
Calling hours will be held 11:00 to 12:30 p.m Wednesday at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peters Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to the St. Peters Rosary Altar Society.
