MOOERS — Steven M. Surprenant, 57, of Mooers, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Plattsburgh, the son of Mose J. and Angeline (Garrand) Surprenant. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, hockey and spending time with his family. His family was everything.
He is predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Jack Marino.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda (LaFave) Surprenant; his son, Bradley Steven Surprenant and wife Mandy; his daughter, Tisha Surprenant (Daddy's little girl); his sisters, Cindy Surprenant and companion Hugh Hogle and Janice Marino; and his father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Dorothy LaFave. Other special family and friends include Beverly and Gary Garrand, Tony and Kim LaFave, Sandy Boulerice, and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at St. Joseph's Church in Mooers.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department.
