REDFORD — Richard M. Fournia, 35, of Clinton Street, Redford, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 23, 1977, the son of Richard and Gale (Venne) Fournia.
Richard was predeceased by his grandfather, Francis Venne; his grandmother, Margaret Fournia; and his cousin, Heidi Chisholm.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Fournia of Altona; two children, Kierra and Damon Fournia; his parents, Richard and Gale Fournia of Redford; a sister, Jessica LeClair of Redford; his in-laws, John and Lisa Bordeau of Altona, Heather Bordeau and Nicole Bordeau; his grandfather, Joseph Fournia; his grandmother, Beulah Venne; his aunts and uncles, Linda and Mike Tedford, Steve and Cheryl Fournia, Brad and Kathleen Fournia, Scott and Tammy Fournia, and Mike and Jane Venne, all of Saranac, Kevin and Julie Fournia of Chazy Lake and Gaye Chisholm of Schuyler Falls; and several cousins.
Calling hours were held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at The Church of the Assumption in Redford, with burial following in the parish cemetery.
