Joyce E. "Satch" DuFour

PLATTSBURGH — Mrs. Joyce E. "Satch" DuFour, 79, of Dean Lane, Plattsburgh, died Friday, Nov. 16 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, with her family by her side.

She was born in Elmira on Sept. 15, 1933, the daughter of the late Carroll and Lillian (Denson) Brinthaupt.

Joyce was employed at Ring America as an office manager for over 25 years and later at Lakeside Office Products and retired from the Val Haven administrative office in Peru as office manager.

She was an avid bowler for many years and was a member of the Plattsburgh Women's Bowling Association and the Order of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed crafts, singing, gardening, and was a loving mother.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joseph Roussel of Plattsburgh, Jeffrey Roussel of Fla., JoAnn Roussel of Plattsburgh, Tami and David Blinn of West Chazy, Audra DuFour and partner Klisti Branin of Morrisonville, Bonnie and Floyd Bell of Plattsburgh; her siblings, Diane Dunham of Elmira, Norman and Geraldine Brinthaupt of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Jordon S. Hicks and Alisha Roussel; a great-grandson, Colin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph F. Roussel, her second husband, Walter J. DuFour; and a brother, Robert Brinthaupt.

In accordance with Joyce's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center c/o CVPH Medical Center.     HERKIMER — Russell A. LaFontaine, 91, of Herkimer and formerly of Champlain, N.Y., passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 15, 2013, in the Folts Home, Inc., Herkimer, with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Champlain, the son of the late Emmett and Elsie (Allard) LaFontaine and was educated in Champlain schools. Russell served in the United States Army during World War II. He married the former Leona Dupee. Mrs. LaFontaine passed away in 1989.
