REDFORD — Richard M. Fournia Jr., 35, of Clinton Street, Redford, N.Y., passed away on Thursday Nov. 15, 2012, at his home in Redford. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y. on Oct. 23, 1977 the son of Richard and Gail (Venne) Fournia.
Richard was a certified welder, an avid hunter and enjoyed video games.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Francis Venne; his grandmother, Margaret Fournia and cousin Heidi Chisholm.
Richard is survived by his wife Dawn Fournia of Altona, two children; Kierra and Damon Fournia; his parents, Richard and Gail Fournia of Redford; a sister, Jessica LeClair of Redford; his in-laws, John and Lisa Bordeau of Altona; his aunt and uncle, Glenda and Jim Mazzotte; his cousin, Jimmy John Mazzotte of Saranac; his grandfather, Joseph Fournia; his grandmother Beulah Venne and his best friend Jesse Dupra.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday Nov. 19, at the church of the Assumption in Redford, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
