ROUSES POINT — Margaret M. Hill, 87, of Rouses Point passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born Nov. 21, 1925 in Montreal, Quebec, the daughter of John and Margaret Victor. She enjoyed BINGO and playing cards.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Gerald Hill; and one sister, Eileen O'Brien.

Surivors include one son, Gerald Hill of Rouses Point; one daughter, Linda Connelly and Shane Rock of Champlain; two grandchildren, Amy Gonyo and her husband Matt of Chazy, Eric Coulombe of Mooers Forks; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Gonyo, Shelby Gonyo, Luka Coulombe and her cat, Blackie.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point.

Donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the SPCA or the Humane Society.

PLATTSBURGH — Daniel Joseph Downs, 90, of Plattsburgh, died June 17, 2013 with his loving family by his side. He was born on Burnt Hill near Saranac on June 15, 1923, the son of Hubert and Dora (Clancy) Downs. Dan was raised on Burnt Hill, and lived and worked in the area. He married Marion Macey on April 29, 1946, and lived on Burnt Hill until they built a home in Keeseville in 1960.
