Roy Benjamin Bova

LAKE PLACID — Roy Benjamin Bova, age 74, of Lake Placid, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Mr. Bova was born July 10, 1938 in Saranac Lake, N.Y. He was the son of the late Elmer and the late Clara (Shene) Bova.

He had worked for Raeoil Corp. for several years and later for the Town of North Elba as Night Watchman. During this time he was caretaker for St. Eustace Episcopal Church for over 30 years.

Mr. Bova was a member of the Lake Placid Masonic Lodge # 834, he was a New York Yankees fan, he enjoyed tinkering in his shop, Nascar Racing, and traveling to Daytona Beach, Fla. to watch the Daytona 500.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona(Bombard) Bova of Lake Placid, N.Y.; one daughter, Charlene Brainard and her fianc^e David Kujawski and their child Jayden of Old Saybrook, Conn.; one son, Scott Bova of Old Saybrook, Conn.; one brother, Joseph Bova of Lake Placid, N.Y.; and two sisters, Viola Shumway and her husband Charles of Saranac Lake, N.Y., and Joyce Euber and her husband Chris of Vermontville, N.Y. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Clara (Shene) Bova; and three brothers, William John Bova, Bernard Bova and James Bova.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, N.Y., with a Lake Placid Masonic Lodge # 834 Prayer Service at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Adirondack Community Church, 2583 Main Street, Lake Placid, N.Y., with Rev. John Martin officiating. Burial will be follow at North Elba Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 14, 1918, daughter of the late Cassius and Eliza (Farr) Coakley. Fern attended and graduated from Mooers Central School. She married Glenn Elwin Parrott of Chazy on Dec. 31, 1940. They lived in Mooers until 1989, moving to West Chazy.
