PLATTSBURGH — Gloria M. Tourville, 76, of Evergreen Valley Nursing Home, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013.
She was born in Altona on March 19, 1936, the daughter of Francis and Genevieve LaGoy.
Gloria attended Altona Central School and one year at Lorretta Business School.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to country music, crocheting, reading, watching movies and soap operas, going on a cruise and collecting Beanie Babies.
She worked as a nurse's aide, ward clerk, telephone operator and then at Physicians Hospital and later CVPH Medical Center until retiring in 2005.
Survivors include three sons, Christopher Tourville, Francis Tourville and his fianc^e, Lynn Weaver, Timothy Tourville, all of Plattsburgh; one daughter, Deborah Bird of Plattsburgh; one brother, Michael LaGoy of Altona; one sister, Joan Crowley and her husband, Frances of Altona; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
There will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, March 1, in the Robert W. Walker Memorial Chapel with Rev. William Reamer, officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Association.
