GLENNA D. SCOTT

PORT HENRY, N.Y. — Glenna D. Scott, 64, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Fletcher-Allen Healthcare, Burlington, Vt. followin a long illness.

Born July 13, 1948 in Plymouth, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Aurel and Elizabeth (Kimball) Desautels.

Glenna had previously lived in Port Charlotte, Fla. and Middlebury, Vt. She moved to Port Henry in 2001.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed, cooking, bowling and interior decorating and cooking. Glenna also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was very attached to her dachshund, Bandit.

Surviving family members include her husband of 44 years, Gary A. Scott of Port Henry; two sons, Russell G. Scott of Ticonderoga and Kevin D. Scott and his companion Daytona Thompson of Mineville; two brothers, Ronald Desautels, (Alberta) and Paul Desautels, (Debbie) both of Keesville; four sisters, Joan Cassavaugh, (Erwin) of Plattsburgh, Linda LaRocque, (Geary) of Port Charlotte, Fla., Starr Bronson,(Wayne) of Peru, N.Y. and Barbara Floyd, (Duane) of Plattsbugh, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Dylan Scott, Autumn Scott, Courtney Clemons and Rhaelinn Thompson.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Newton and Ruby Trombley; a brother, Donald Desautels; and a nephew, Arnold James (AJ) Trombley.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 S. Main St., Middlebury, Vt. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Elisabeth Smith of Middlebury United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Weybridge Cemetery.
