PLATTSBURGH — Marilyn F. LeRoux, 66 of Plattsburgh, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh. Born in Malone on Jan. 21, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Edgar B. and Dorothy Robinson LeRoux.
Marilyn was employed for twenty-five years as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and Medical Transcriptionist at Eye Care for the Adirondacks in Plattsburgh. She retired in 2006 due to ill health.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy J. Tavernier and Sandra L. Tavernier and her companion, Kevin Sansone; two brothers and their wives, Gary and Teresa LeRoux of New York City, and Wayne and Marlene LeRoux of Ft. Covington, N.Y., and Zephyrhills, Fla.; one grandson, Justin Handley of Malone; one great-grandson, Ethan Handley; a niece, Dawn LeRoux of Livingston Manor, N.Y.; a nephew, Alan LeRoux of Hampton, Va.; and a longtime friend and caregiver, Betsy Holmes of Churubusco, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her father, Edgar, in 1965, and by her mother, Dorothy, in 2007.
At Marilyn's request, there will be no calling hours. A Prayer Service, and burial of her ashes, will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. in the old St. Mary's Cemetery in Ft. Covington.
