Virgie E. Trombley

MORRISONVILLE — Virgie E. Trombley, 90, formerly of River Street, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 31, 1921, the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (Guyette) Tosh.

Virgie married Wilfred A. Trombley on Sept. 22, 1942 at St. Alexander's Church, with Father Gobet celebrating. Wilfred died on Sept. 15, 1998.

She was a member of St. Alexander's Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Deborah Trombley of Plattsburgh; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Kenneth Neverett of Plattsburgh; a step-son James and Joyce Trombley of Plattsburgh; a step-daughter, Shirley LaBarge of Morrisonville; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Loya of Keeseville; a step daughter-in-law, Leola Trombley of Winter Harbour, Maine; 14 grandchildren; many great-grand children.

She is predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; a son, Gary; stepsons, Carlton and Richard; three brothers, Joseph, Louis and Albert Tosh; and a sister, Velma Deffinbaugh.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26 at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in parish cemetery.

He married Marion Macey on April 29, 1946, and lived on Burnt Hill until they built a home in Keeseville in 1960.
