PORT HENRY — Leonard J. "Brownie" Brace, 84, of Port Henry, N.Y. died at home Wednesday, Feb. 6 with loving family by his side.
Predeceased by parents Arthur and Madeline (LaGoy) Brace, loving wife Edith Allen, siblings Arthur (Blackey), Francis (Red), David (Whitey), Carol (Teet), son-in-law Clyde Dale Munson, step daughter Julie Boyle. Survived by his loving wife Laura M. Groshans, his sister Claudette (Sis) Gregory of Port Henry, N.Y., his children Leonard Jr. (Germaine) Brace of Cape Coral, Fla., Barbara Munson of Port Henry, N.Y., Thomas (Debbie) Brace of Mineville, N.Y., step children Mike Whitford of Port Henry, Leslie (Michael) Scialdone of Churchville, N.Y., Brad Whitford of Ticonderoga, Rene' (Robert) Tromblee of Port Henry, Lori (Chris) Cutting of Crown Point, and son-in-law (who was his close buddy) Thomas (Turk) Boyle. He was also blessed with many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great, great- granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. at Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, N.Y. A celebration of life, officiated by Rev. Ken Parker, will be at 11 a.m. Mon. Feb. 11 at the Methodist church, Tarbell Road, Moriah, N.Y. Burial will be in the spring at the convenience of his family.
