---- — PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Shawn J. Fleming, 45, of Maryland Road in Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 5, 1967, the son of William Fleming and Judy King. Shawn was employed as a Pediatric Registered Nurse at CVPH Medical Center for 16 years. He was an artist and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Diane (Decosse) Fleming, his son Alex Fleming and his daughter Olivia Fleming, both of Plattsburgh; his father and step mother, William and Carol Fleming of Plattsburgh; his mother, Judy King of Champlain, his siblings and their spouses. Scott Fleming of Plattsburgh; Shane and Candice Fleming of Plattsburgh, Dustin LaFountain and companion Xochil Zavala of Ariz., Destiny Bechard and companion Eric Monto of Chazy; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Marjorie Decosse of Chateaugay; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Justin and Tina Decosse, Bruce and Carrie McDonald, Donald and Heather Decosse, all of Chateaugay; 20 nieces and nephews; 7 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, at St. John's Church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
