LEE, Mass. — Doreen Clukey, 67, of Lee, Mass. and formerly of Chazy, died on Jan. 31, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1945, to Leo and Doris Clukey. Doreen was a hard worker usually holding down two jobs to provide for her children. She was also very resourceful mak ing the clothes her children wore. She loved the outdoors, tak ing her children camping, fishing, and attending their outdoor recreational activities.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Eugene LaFountain of Chazy; her daughter, Delia Parker, her husband Frank and their children Joshua Parker and his fianc^e Dana Pickering and their son Wyatt, and son Jonathan Parker, all of Cham plain; her sons, Keith LaFountain of Chazy, Jamie LaFoun tain and his son, Nikolas of West Palm Beach, Fla., Travis LaFountain and his wife Tracey and their children Dylan and Mason of Highgate, Vt.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son, George LaFountain (1981); and brothers Leo and Roy Clukey.
At her request, her body was donated to research in the ongoing study of Huntington's disease. Doreen hoped that by donating herself to science it would help find a treatment or possible cure for the disease.
