PLATTSBURGH — Marjorie S. Bouyea, 87, of Aiken Court, died peacefully at the CVPH Medical Center surrounded by her family, on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. She was born on Rand Hill on June 26, 1925 the daughter of Ralph and Stella (Hildreth) Sanger.
Marjorie graduated from Plattsburgh State Teachers College.
She was married for 29 years to Leander A. Bouyea, Jr. who died in 1976.
Marjorie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Plattsburgh, the Monday Bridge Club, the Wednesday and Friday Bridge Groups, Bluff Point Golf Club, Plattsburgh Junior League, Plattsburgh College Council, the Peru Ladies Bowling League and a former volunteer at the CVPH Medical Center.
Survivors include four children, Peter Bouyea and his wife, Linda of Burlington, Vt., James Bouyea and his wife, Carol of Shelburne, Vt., Michele Simpson and her husband, Paul of South Burlington, Vt., and Suzanne Kasprzak and her husband, Donald of Plattsburgh; eleven grandchildren, Petra Peplau, Lee, Brad, Lauren, Michael and Christine Bouyea, Jill Thompson, Parker Johnson, Kristen Johnson Calcagni, and Nathan and Matthew Kasprzak; seven great-grandchildren, Ben, Luke, Charlie, Clara, Hayden, Elizabeth and Abigail; one sister, Mary Coward and her husband, Lynn of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; and a daughter-in-law, Julie Bouyea of Plattsburgh and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Mark Bouyea and her brother, James Sanger.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.23, at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery.
