PLATTSBURGH — Herbert "Herby" E. Caron, Sr., 59, of Cross Road, Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away on Friday Jan. 11, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 17, 1953, the son of Richard and Dora (Lawliss) Caron.
Herby enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father. Herby is survived by his mother; two sons, Herbert Caron Jr. and his wife Lori of Calif. and Brian Caron of Plattsburgh; two grandchildren, Brianna and Lorrisa Caron of Calif.; his siblings, Richard (Debbie) Caron of Plattsburgh, Cynthia Normandin of Tenn., Maynard Caron of Tenn., Deborah (Carlton) Frenyea of Morrisonville, Kenneth Caron of Tenn., Jacqueline (Douglas) Wilkins of Plattsburgh, Robert (Mary) Caron of Plattsburgh, Susan Sears of Plattsburgh and Catherine (Roger) Ouimette of Champlain; several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2012 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
