CROWN POINT — John M. Breed, 61, of Pearl Street, Crown Point, N.Y. passed away peacefully and spiritually on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
John was a lifelong resident of Crown Point, growing and up and living most of his adult life in close proximity to many families of the extended Breed family on Pearl Street. He was the 11th generation descendant of Allen Breed who came to America from England in 1630.
John was the son of the late Lindsey Breed and Elsie (Schwerdtfeger) Breed.
He is survived by his brother, Francis Breed and wife Jean of Crown Point; by his sister, Linda Breed of Ironville, Crown Point; and by his son, Michael. He is survived by one niece, Sharon Williams of Fredericksburg, Va.; and one nephew, Joshua Jaenisch of Crown Point; as well as many cousins and great-nephews; and his aunt and uncle, Philippe and Virginia Nadeau.
John was predeceased by his sister, Gail Chadwick; and his nephew, Todd Breed.
John enjoyed exercising and going to the gym, fishing, going out to lunch, and researching information on the computer. He was a beekeeper, and he loved movies, music, going to car shows, and his companion cat, Merlin.
