PLATTSBURGH — Stella H. Paul, 92, of Route 9, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. She was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 12, 1920, the daughter of John and Florence (Debuque) Myers.
Stella married Francis Paul in 1937 in Plattsburgh. Francis died Oct. 24, 1986. She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Treadwells Mills. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include one son, Francis Paul of Plattsburgh; three daughters, Stella Deyo and her husband Alden of Coopersville, Joanne Deyo of Plattsburgh and Patricia Deyo and her husband Rufus "Joe" of Plattsburgh; one brother, Harold "Buddy" Myers and his wife Patricia of Fla.; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one son, William Paul in 1988; and one sister, Mildred Premore in 1987.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the spring in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
