CLIFTON PARK — Edward M. O'Connell, age 77 years, of 40 Valencia Lane, Clifton Park, N.Y., passed away at home surrounded by his family on Jan. 7, 2013.

Funeral from W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, N.Y. on Jan. 11 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Michael the Archangel Church, North Greenbush where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Jan. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.

He was born on Burnt Hill near Saranac on June 15, 1923, the son of Hubert and Dora (Clancy) Downs. Dan was raised on Burnt Hill, and lived and worked in the area. He married Marion Macey on April 29, 1946, and lived on Burnt Hill until they built a home in Keeseville in 1960.
