Rita Lamere Hebert

HEMMINGFORD, QUEBEC — Rita (LaMere) Hebert of Hemmingford, died peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the age of 79 years.

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Emma LaMere (Boulerice) and the loving wife of Patrick. She was loved by her children, Steve (Theresa), Debbie (John) and Sue-Anne (Mike). She was the cherished grandmother of Christopher, Nicholas (Ronni), Zachary (Natalie) and Amanda (Leon) and great-grandmother of Alison and Logan. Rita is survived by her brother, Leon (Viola); and sister, Rena.

She is predeceased by her siblings, Charlie (Delsie), Evelyne (Milton), Ruby (Clifford), and Blanche (Leon).

She will be missed by her extended family, many nieces, nephews, and friends. A service will be held in April.

    HERKIMER — Russell A. LaFontaine, 91, of Herkimer and formerly of Champlain, N.Y., passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 15, 2013, in the Folts Home, Inc., Herkimer, with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Champlain, the son of the late Emmett and Elsie (Allard) LaFontaine and was educated in Champlain schools. Russell served in the United States Army during World War II. He married the former Leona Dupee. Mrs. LaFontaine passed away in 1989.
